Latest Carbon Clean technology to rectify DPF issues
Here at The Motor Medics we have recently invested in the latest Carbon Clean technology to allow us to rectify Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) issues, right here in our own workshop. Whilst DPF cleaning in Leicestershire is a service we have always offered, traditionally this has required a 3 day lead time whilst we removed the DPF, it was shipped, cleaned and returned by the specialist for us to refit. This recent investment has allowed us to reduce this time to a 24 HOUR turn around!

Why should I get my diesel particulate filter cleaned?
When your DPF becomes clogged, it decreases engine power and fuel efficiency. Eventually, your car may go into limp mode.
Continuing to drive with a faulty DPF can also cause problems with the turbocharger due to increased back pressure and heat, resulting in an expensive repair bill.
How do we clean your DPF?
Utilising state-of-the-art Carbon Clean technology, the environmentally-friendly process delivers as new levels of cleanliness by removing all soot deposits, including PM10 particles, cerium oxide deposits and oil residues from the DPF.
How does Carbon cleaning work?
The filter is placed on the worktop of the washing cabin and connected to the water pipe. Depending on the type and the size of the filter, Carbon Cleaner Machine performs the washing of the filter and then dries it with hot air. The Machine is a one-of-a-kind machinery that performs all of the cleaning phases (washing and drying) without cutting, oven-baking and welding.
What do we monitor during a DPF clean?
Flow tests are performed both before and after the clean and these figures are provided to you so you can see the efficiency of the clean
